A juried exhibit of photographs themed…
«Dans la rue...»

Juried by : Felicia Feaster, John Dean and Constance Lewis

A whimsical parade. A moving protest. A surprising display. A colorful graffiti.

        A tear… a smile… a kiss.

It all happened in the street. And you captured it, with your mind’s eye, with your photographer’s perspective, and, ultimately, with your camera.

Perhaps you speak French, or you once lived in a francophone country? Or maybe you were once romanced in the City of Lights, or simply have a love for all things French-inspired ?

AKA Photo Project will present an exhibit of compelling images by photographers with a “French connection” illuminating the common scenes, surprising vignettes and profound perspectives from streets around the corner and across the world.
This new show will take place at Opal Gallery in Atlanta, from October 7 through November 18, 2010 during Atlanta Celebrates Photography 12.

About AKA Photo Project
AKA Photo Project is a new initiative dedicated to promoting emerging and amateur photographers, with a twist: The "AKA" implies that these photographers are "accidental artists,” people who are not artists by profession, but who pursue photography as a passion... and happen to be quite good at it. The AKA Photo Project works with galleries, special exhibits, corporations and public entities to foster and showcase new and talented photographers with a “French connection.” AKA Photo Project wants to bring these "young" artists and their works to the forefront to be discovered and enjoyed by others. AKA Photo Project held its successful debut exhibit “Face à Face” at Opal Gallery as part of Atlanta Celebrates Photography in October and November 2009.
